Manukau Institute of Technology is committed to the current and future success of Pasifika students and to playing a significant role in the development of the Pasifika communities from which they come. This commitment is encapsulated in the the 2008 - 2010 MIT Strategic Plan Today's MIT and the Tertiary Education Strategy 2007 - 2012. The institute's commitments and accountabilities have been developed within a Pasifika Development Plan for implementation and monitoring over the next 3 years and are closely aligned to the key strategic priorities for MIT to the year 2010.
The Pasifika Development Office is responsible for the implementation of the Pasifika Development Plan goals and objectives, and providing effective leadership alongside the MIT Pasifika Community Advisory Board and the MIT Pasifika Community Forums and Fono Tagata Pasifika.
We look forward to working together with our Pasifika communities to achieve MIT's Vision to "Transform people and communities through learning"
